Idle No More: Indigenous-Led Protests Sweep Canada for Native Sovereignty and Environmental Justice
Stand up and resist the evil plans of Harper and Obama!! They seek to rape and ruin what's left of north America+Canada, and to finally destroy indigenous cultures. The time is now that we unite and fight to corporatists in any and all ways possible. Indigenous Canadians might have better luck appealing to the Queen directly, than to the corporatist Harper. If they can get the Queen's attention and sympathy, maybe she could use her influence for something positive. It's worth a try. She may be an old figure head, but she's slightly more human than Harper. In general though appealing to leaders is not the most effective approach. The public needs to get informed and support indigenous and eco activists in this. Resist Harper and Obama!!
The Maitreya Prophecies & The Masters with Benjamin Creme

Benjamin Creme, the official spokesperson for the "world teacher" Maitreya, appeared during the middle two hours of the program. Maitreya (photos), he said, can make himself visible in any form, using "familiars" who become vehicles for his consciousness. In fact, Creme said that it was Maitreya's consciousness that worked through Jesus during his final three years leading up to the crucifixion. Maitreya, he added, also gave advice and instructions to Yasser Arafat, whom Creme characterized as a "great man."
In addition to Maitreya, there are 14 other spiritual "masters of wisdom" who have returned to the world, to assist humanity in moving from one cosmic cycle to the next, including Jesus, who is now located in Rome, said Creme. The other planets in our solar system are teeming with life, though it is on the etheric planes, he noted. UFOs are also made of this less dense, etheric matter but can become visible when they temporarily lower their rate of vibration in order to be seen, he explained.
We can evolve by becoming detached from our emotions, and recognizing that they have no more reality than dreams, Creme advised. He also advocated practicing honesty of mind and sincerity of spirit. In the final hour, Open Lines featured callers reacting to Creme's appearance.

Maitreya (Sanskrit), Metteyya (Pāli), or Jampa (Tibetan), is foretold as a future Buddha of this world in Buddhist eschatology. In some Buddhist literature, such as the Amitabha Sutra and the Lotus Sutra, he is referred to as Ajita Bodhisattva.
Maitreya is a bodhisattva who in the Buddhist tradition is to appear on Earth, achieve complete enlightenment, and teach the pure dharma. According to scriptures, Maitreya will be a successor of the historic Śākyamuni Buddha. The prophecy of the arrival of Maitreya references a time when the Dharma will have been forgotten on Jambudvipa. It is found in the canonical literature of all Buddhist sects (Theravāda, Mahāyāna, Vajrayāna), and is accepted by most Buddhists as a statement about an event that will take place when the Dharma will have been forgotten on Earth.

The earliest mention of Metteyya is in the Cakavatti (Sihanada) Sutta in the Digha Nikaya 26 of the Pali Canon. He occurs in no other sutta in the Pali Canon, and this casts doubt as to the sutta's authenticity. Most of the Buddha's sermons are presented as preached in answer to a question, or in some other appropriate context, but this one has a beginning and an ending in which the Buddha is talking to monks about something totally different. This leads Gombrich to conclude that either whole sutta is apocryphal, or it has at least been tampered with.
Maitreya is sometimes represented seated on a throne Western-style, and venerated both in Mahāyāna and non-Mahāyāna Buddhism. Some have speculated that inspiration for Maitreya may have come from the ancient Indo-Iranian deity Mithra. The primary comparison between the two characters appears to be the similarity of their names. According to a book entitled The Religion of the Iranian Peoples, "No one who has studied the Zoroastrian doctrine of the Saoshyants or the coming saviour-prophets can fail to see their resemblance to the future Maitreya.

Overdose: The Next Financial Crisis
The main reason for the prolonged recession in the US is securitization of assets. The banks lent to anybody because they were not carrying the risk - rather it was being passed on to "investors" in the form of stock market funds. Asset bubbles happen all the time - but the government allowed this bubble to be financed by the country's middle class, and now they are paying for it.Putting the well-being of your nation into the hands of a few rich men always leads to corruption and depression.

Lower-wage employees of the mega-retailer Walmart Stores and fast-food restaurant workers - many of them people of color - are trying to cast a harsh spotlight during the holiday season's twinkling lights on what they say are poor working conditions and scant wages. The biggest wave of job actions in the history of America's fast-food industry began at 6:30 a.m. last Thursday at a McDonald store in New York, with several dozen protesters chanting: "Hey, hey, what do you say? We demand fair pay." ALL of the financial conditions being imposed on the USA have been INTENTIONAL by our very own Globalist Controlled Government. Fast-food restaurants are part of a $200 billion-dollar industry that pays its CEOs astronomical amounts in salaries, bonuses and stock options. The 2012 compensation for David Novak, CEO of Yum! Brands, which owns Pizza Hut and Taco Bell, was $29.4 million, or over 4,300 times as much as the pay of an average employee. In 2011, after four months on the job, Wendy's CEO Emil Brolick earned $4.6 million. Jim Skinner, McDonald's outgoing CEO, is slated to receive about $10 million by the end of the year. The Fast Food Forward protest comes on top of similar actions at Walmart stores across the country on Black Friday. The Walmart protests were part of an attempt to unionize the company's low-wage workers (who make an average of $8.81 an hour) by United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW). Extreme social inequality and the rapid increase of poverty have created concern among the upper middle-class layers. The political aim behind the New York fast-food protests, similar to the Walmart protests, is to smother a social explosion before it happens with militant-sounding rhetoric on the one hand and slavish support for the Obama administration on the other.
