Michael Rivero is the webmaster of http://whatreallyhappened.com/ and host of the What Really Happened radio shows on the Republic Broadcasting Network. Formerly with NASA, Michael transitioned his image processing skills (along with a brief stint as an actor) into the then-new motion picture computer animation field and has worked on films such as "Star Trek", "The Day After Tomorrow", and has supervised visual effects on "Brainscan," "LOST", and "Hawaii Five-0." Michael has taken a sabbatical from film work to focus all his efforts on peace activism. Michaels foray into blogging began before the word was even invented, and happened almost by accident when he spotted a suspicious photograph being broadcast on ABC news in 1994 related to the death of White House deputy Council Vincent Foster. Since that sudden beginning, Michaels website has expanded to cover diverse topics including the JFK assassination, the accidental shoot-down of TWA 800, election fraud, health issues, Saddams non-existent nuclear weapons, 9-11, the economy, and of course, the lies used to trick the United States into wars of conquest on Afghanistan, Iraq, and now Iran. Michael resides in Hawaii with his wife Claire, who is a composer and creates much of theme music used on the What Really Happened radio show.

Lawyer of Man Accused of Sending Ricin-Laced Letter To Obama Says Client Was Absolutely Framed

4/23/13 - The Mississippi man released on Tuesday after being detained and accused of sending ricin-laced letters to President Barack Obama and Sen. Roger Wicker (R-MS), according to his attorney, Christi McCoy, was framed. In an interview with CNN anchor Chris Cuomo, McCoy said that her client, Kevin Curtis, was the victim of an elaborate plot which set him up as the person responsible for sending a deadly poison to some of America's most prominent elected officials.

"The case has not been dismissed," McCoy told Cuomo when asked why Curtis' preliminary hearing was cancelled and he was released from detention on Tuesday.

McCoy suggested that Curtis has not been released to the "general population," but she stressed that he was not a threat to the public in any way.

"You're saying he's the wrong guy?" Cuomo asked. McCoy said that Curtis is innocent of the charges against him.

"I do believe that the government did what they believe was in everyone -- everyone's best interest because of where the evidence pointed at that time," McCoy replied.

She said that Curtis is an "activist" and is passionate about the organ and tissue donation industry. McCoy said that the signature which Curtis used on social media outlets, "I am KC and I approve this message," became of interest to authorities when that signature was discovered on the ricin-laced letters sent to elected officials.

"You think somebody was trying to frame him?" Cuomo asked.

"I absolutely do," McCoy replied.

Boston Bombers Wife Releases Statement

Katherine Russell, the 24-year-old widow of Boston bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaeva, released a short statement through her lawyer, Amato DeLuca, on Tuesday morning. It was the first time she has spoken out since the terror attack unfolded last Monday (although her mother did previously release a brief written comment following Tsarnaeva's death).
Our firm is representing Katherine Russell and she has asked us to make a short statement. As you know from news reports, Katie married her husband in June of 2010. Since then, she has been living in Cambridge, raising her child and working long hours, caring for people in their homes who are unable to care for themselves. Katie grew up in Rhode Island and has always remained close to her parents and sisters here, as well as her extended family. She is fortunate to have the support of her loving family now, as they struggle to come to terms with these events and the deep sorrow we all feel following the events of last week. Meanwhile, she is doing everything she can to assist with the investigation.

The injuries and loss of life -- to people who came to celebrate a race and a holiday -- has caused profound distress and sorrow to Katie and her family. The reports of involvement by her husband and brother--in--law came as an absolute shock to them all. As a mother, a sister, a daughter, a wife, Katie deeply mourns the pain and loss to innocent victims -- students, law enforcement, families and our community. In the aftermath of this tragedy, she, her daughter and her family are trying to come to terms with these events.
