A Herbert Armstrong protege, sincere but built on a fundamental missunderstanding of core Bible teachings.
Principally; that the English peoples are the lost (10) tribes of Israel, and there history is a fulfillment of what the ancient scriptures says will happen to Israel.
An obvious falacy, that independent and honest consideration of the scriptures will clearly demonstrate.
However, like all errors, if you accept the conclusions, you will find the evidence to support it. Back to front reasoning is the cause of nearly all error.
Excellent comment Anonymous! I used to listen to Herbert W Armstrong and his wayward son Garner Ted Armstrong back in the 60s...A very sad pair indeed! I recall the comments of one John Thomas' written in 1848, 100 years before the events you note -
"There is then a partial and primary restoration of Jews before the manifestation (of Jesus), which is to serve as the nucleas, or basis, of future operations in the restoration of the rest of the tribes after he (Jesus) has appeared in his kingdom. The pre-adventual colonization of Palestine will be on purely political principles, and the Jewish colonists will return in unbelief of the Messiahship of Jesus, and of the truth as it is in him"
The man who wrote these words did not claim to be an inspired prophet, only a (dedicated) Bible student. Such is the clarity and power of the WORD.
The 12 tribes are the European peoples of today. There is no way the prophecies of the Bible can apply to any other people. Put this way how many nations have the jews founded (they stole Israel) and how many people have the the jews been a blessing to. Unless you have a really sick idea of what a blessing is.
You are using a 'false dichotomy', and also missunderstanding what the Bible says concerning Israel, and lastly by applying the the 'blessing' only to your singular interpretation & context.
Similarly, it could be argued that the Jews were not a blessing in the days prior to the time of Jesus Christ. Yet the words stand true, and have yet to find their complete fulfillment, when the man born king of the Jews sits upon David's throne, ruling over the house of Israel. Hear what the angel Gabriel says -
Luk 1:31-33 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
This has never happened, but shall happen when the son of man (Jesus) comes again, to claim his throne, and rule over his people from Jersualem.
Paul calls this the mystery, that he counsels us NOT to be ignorant of -
Rom 11:25-29 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes. For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
Perhaps you need to re-consider the whole purpose of God with Israel actually is, and also what the 'blessing' of Gen.12:3 is, and how it has been outworked in history, and whether it has been truly fulfilled.
It has nothing to do with a political fulfilment & the greatness of the European peoples, or of that 'false' christianity that has dominated Europe for centuries.
As I said in the opening comments, you can only make your ideas fit if you reason back to front.

Thank you, and agreed;
