From Ukip.org

UKIP Leader Nigel Farage, the long term friend and supporter of Kent businessman Christopher Tappin, has set up a petition for opponents of his extradition to sign.

Mr Tappin, who fought extradition to the USA for two years, is currently awaiting the response to his bail application after Home Secretary Theresa May failed to stop his deportation to Texas.

If he is denied bail he faces the prospect of waiting for years in a violent American prison and being forced into a plea bargain. If he waits

• Bluecard question: Liisa JAAKONSAARI MEP (Finland), Socialist group (S&D)

Speech transcript:

"Thank you. Well there is a great degree of unity here this morning, with a common enemy - rich people, successful companies evading tax, which of course is a problem.

Avoiding tax, which is not illegal, but it gives this whole chamber this morning a high moral tone.

And as Mr Barroso says it is all about the perception of fairness. Because there is the added bonus of course that it drives a wedge between the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man, and the Caymans.

But before we declare our virtues, perhaps we ought to look just a little bit closer to home.

And I hope that the taxpayers all over Europe listen to this. If we look at the EU officials who work for the European Commission and the European Parliament, the highest category [the most common grade is AD12] are people that earn a net take home pay of just over 100 thousand pounds a year. And yet under EU rules they pay tax of 12 per cent. It is tax fraud on an absolutely massive scale.

And Mr Barroso I would say to you, how can that be deemed to be fair? How can people out there struggling - the 16 million people unemployed in the eurozone - how can they look at these institutions, not only paying people vast sums of money but allowing them tax and pension benefits on a scale not seen anywhere else in the world? So I suggest we have a bit less of this high moral tone.

And what have these officials given us? Well, they were the architects of the euro, which is a complete disaster. Their obsession with global warming which chimes very strongly here means we are despoiling our landscapes and seascapes with these disgusting wind turbines and driving up energy prices.

But never let it be said that I cannot acknowledge success when I see it. And I am sure the citizens of Europe will all clap and cheer loudly that the grave, mortal danger of olive oil in dipping bowls has been removed by the officials. Well done everybody."

Nigel Farage, Cyprus Cash grab a template for Future Stealing

UK Independence party leader Nigel Farage speaks on the Eurozone cash grab.

RT's Aleksei Yaroshevsky spoke to a known eurosceptic, the head of the UK Independence party, Nigel Farage. He believes the days of the Eurozone are numbered, and that people should withdraw their money from its banks before what happened in Cyrpus happens elsewhere. Get all your money out of Europe now! BRITISH expats living across Europe were warned last night to take their money out of foreign banks in the wake of the Cyprus financial crisis. Ukip leader Nigel Farage told the party's spring conference that savings held in countries where the euro is the currency are no longer safe. His warning came as Cyprus last night gave in to EU and International Monetary Fund demands for a 20 per cent levy on deposits over 100,000 euros at the Bank of Cyprus and a four per cent levy on deposits of the same amount at other banks. Yesterday Mr Farage said: "The appalling events in Cyprus over the course of the past week have surpassed even my direst of predictions. "Even I didn't think that they would stoop to stealing money from people's bank accounts. I find that astonishing. "There are 750,000 British people who own properties, or who live, many of them in retirement down in Spain. "Our message to expats now that the EU has crossed this line, must be: Get your money out of there while you've still got a chance." He also urged Chancellor George Osborne to make it clear that Britain would never seize money in this way in the hope it can benefit from a huge flight of money out of the eurozone. His stark "get your money out" warning came as Cyprus raced to qualify for a vital international bailout to avoid a potential bankruptcy that would engulf 12,000 British expat pensioners from midnight tomorrow. The tiny island nation needs to raise 5.8billion euro (£4.95billion) to secure a 10billion euro European rescue that would help it to stay in the currency. The tax would apply to any Briton with a Cypriot bank account including the 3,000 British servicemen and women. An estimated 25,000 Britons live on Cyprus. The European Central Bank had said that, after tomorrow, it would pull the plug on further financial assistance for Cyprus's troubled banks unless a deal was in place. This left the island's 56 MPs with an unenviable choice, to impose strict curbs on the movement of money and to put the country's largest banks into receivership or face exit from the euro and a dramatic economic crash. Earlier yesterday it looked as if Cyprus may have to impose a larger levy on deposits, up to 25 per cent. The tax has fuelled fears of a run on Cypriot banks if they reopen on Tuesday. Its banks have been closed for more than a week since the levy was proposed, triggering widespread outrage in Cyprus. The British Government has frozen £1.2million in state pension payments due to 12,000 Britons living in Cyprus to prevent it being grabbed in a bailout deal. However, British banks face a £1.3billion exposure to a wholesale collapse of the banking system in Cyprus. The country is still a major trading partner for the UK.

Nigel Farage : This EU is the New Communism. It is Power without Limits

• European Parliament, Strasbourg, 17 April 2013

• Speaker: Nigel Farage MEP, Leader of the UK Independence Party (UKIP), Co-President of the 'Europe of Freedom and Democracy' (EFD) Group in the European Parliament -

Transcript:

Years ago, Mrs Thatcher recognised the truth behind the European Project. She saw that it was about taking away democracy from nation states and handing that power to largely unaccountable people.

Knowing as she did that the euro would not work she saw that this was a very dangerous design. Now we in UKIP take that same view and I tried over the years in this parliament to predict what the next moves would be as the euro disaster unfolded.

But not even me, in my most pessimistic of speeches would have imagined, Mr Rehn, that you and others in the Troika would resort to the level of common criminals and steal money from peoples' bank accounts in order to keep propped up this total failure that is the euro.

You even tried to take money away from the small investors in direct breach of the promise you made back in 2008.

Well the precedent has been set, and if we look at countries like Spain where business bankruptcies are up 45% year on year, we can see what your plan is to deal with the other bailouts as they come.

I must say, the message this sends out to investors is very loud and clear: Get your money out of the Eurozone before they come for you.
What you have done in Cyprus is you actually sounded the death knell of the euro. Nobody in the international community will have confidence in leaving their money there.

And how ironic to see the Russian prime minister Dmitry Medvedev compare your actions and say, ' I can only compare it to some of the decisions taken by the Soviet authorities.'

And then we have a new German proposal that says that actually what we ought to do is confiscate some of the value of peoples' properties in the southern Mediterranean eurozone states.

This European Union is the new communism. It is power without limits. It is creating a tide of human misery and the sooner it is swept away the better.

But what of this place, what of the parliament? This parliament has the ability to hold the Commission to account. I have put down a motion of censure debate on the table. I wonder whether any of you have the courage to recognise it and to support it. I very much doubt that.

And I am minded that there is a new Mrs Thatcher in Europe and he is called Frits Bolkenstein. And he has said of this parliament - remember he is a former Commissioner: 'It is not representative anymore for the Dutch or European citizen. The European Parliament is living out a federal fantasy which is no longer sustainable.'

How right he is.

George Galloway interviews Nigel Farage on The European Debt Crisis

All eyes are once again on the latest attempts to resolve the eurozone debt crisis, with European finance ministers gathering in Poland for a meeting. Worries about a Greek default are high on the agenda, and US Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner is attending the meeting, underlining Washington's fears that problems in the eurozone could spread beyond Europe. UK Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne said on Friday that the eurozone's situation was "grave", and Austria's finance minister refused to rule out the prospect of an eventual Greek default. The BBC has learned that the UBS trader being questioned on suspicion of unauthorised trading alerted the bank himself. The BBC's business editor, Robert Peston, says UBS's internal controls did not pick up the huge loss allegedly generated by its trader Kweku Adoboli, and that Mr Adoboli told UBS that he had engaged in unauthorised trades. Shares have continued to rise following Thursday's news of emergency liquidity measures by five central banks. The central banks are trying to encourage lenders, especially in Europe, to keep lending to each other, and are to provide commercial banks with three additional tranches of loans to help ease funding pressures. India's central bank has raised interest rates for the 12th time in 18 months to try to curb inflation. The Reserve Bank of India raised the policy lending rate, called the repo rate, by 25 basis points to 8.25%. India has been struggling to contain inflation which is at a 13-month high of 9.78%. Staying in Asia, Manchester United has received approval to sell shares on the Singapore Stock Exchange. The club aims to raise $1bn (£635m) to pay off some of its debts by selling about 25% of the parent company's shares. United want to complete the process by the end of the year. The latest edition of the Business Daily programme from the BBC World Service talks to supporters of a potentially game-changing alternative source of nuclear power. George Galloway interviews UKIP leader Nigel Farage on the European debt crisis.

Nigel Farage ~ Get Your Money Out Of Spain You are Next after Cyprus

UKIP Nigel Farage on Cyprus & press regulations - Spring Conference 2013 The EU is run by a bunch of fools who should not hold this kind of power, I think a bunch of school kids could do a better job. Anyway they have nice big salaries and pensions and look after themselves although nobody has actually elected them, they have just taken power.

(wikipedia )Nigel Paul Farage is a British politician and leader of the UK Independence Party (UKIP) since 2010;[2] he also held that position from September 2006 to November 2009. Since 1999, he has been a Member of the European Parliament for South East England and co-chairs the Europe of Freedom and Democracy group. Farage was a founding member of UKIP, having left the Conservative Party in 1992 after the signing of the Maastricht Treaty. Having unsuccessfully campaigned in European and Westminster parliamentary elections for UKIP since 1994, he won a seat as MEP for South East England in the 1999 European Parliament Election—the first year the regional list system was used—and was re-elected in 2004 and 2009. Farage describes himself as a libertarian and rejects any suggestion that he is really a Conservative. In September 2006, Farage became the UKIP Leader and led the party through the 2009 European Parliament Election when it received the second highest share of the popular vote, defeating Labour and the Liberal Democrats with over two million votes. He stepped down in November 2009 to concentrate on contesting the Buckingham seat of the Speaker, John Bercow, at the 2010 general election. At the 2010 General Election, Farage failed to unseat Bercow and received only the third highest share of the vote in the constituency. Shortly after the polls opened on 6 May 2010, Farage was injured in an aircraft crash in Northamptonshire. The two-seated PZL-104 Wilga 35A had been towing a pro-UKIP banner when it flipped over and crashed shortly after takeoff. Both Farage and the pilot were hospitalised with non-life threatening injuries.[3] In November 2010, Farage successfully stood in the 2010 UKIP leadership contest,[4] following the resignation of its leader, Lord Pearson of Rannoch. Farage was also ranked 41st in The Daily Telegraph's Top 100 most influential right-wingers poll in October 2009, citing his media savvy and his success with UKIP in the European Elections.[5] Farage was ranked 58th in the 2010 list compiled by Iain Dale and Brian Brivati for the Daily Telegraph. In the same list published in 2012, Farage was ranked 17th.[6] Farage has been noted for his passionate and sometimes controversial speeches in the European Parliament.[7][8]

Nigel Farage ~ Europe is Facing a Yugoslavian like Implosion

British politician and the leader of the UK Independence Party (UKIP) Nigel Farage addresses the European disaster and the dangers of the open borders with Romania and Bulgaria for the rest of the European countries , Nigel Farage has slammed EU bosses over European crisis. "It's even more serious than economics because if you rob people of their identity, if you rob them of their democracy, then all they are left with is nationalism and violence. I can only hope and pray that the Euro project is destroyed by the markets before that" - Farage said at the end of his speech.

Nigel Farage Has Cannon Balls Compilation

UK Independence Party (UKIP) Leader Nigel Farage in a series of stunning verbal attacks on presidents & prime ministers of European nations within the EU parliament I'm happy to see Europe has his own ''Ron Paul'' named Nigel Farage! Nigel Farage Wants the UK out of the EU in order to prevent 29 Million Romanians and Bulgarians to come to the UK

Nigel Farage On 29 million people from Romanian And Bulgarian To the UK. 50% of the population of Romania are below the poverty line - they can't feed their families. In 2014, they get free access to UK and other countries. The standard of living in the UK is vastly better than that in their grotty little towns in Bulgaria or Romania. The UK had well over 1 million Poles settle in UK from May 2004 on. I suspect we'll see a similar amount or more due to the acute poverty which people suffer in Romania and Bulgaria. If I was Romanian or Bulgarian, I'd be packing my bags NOW said Nigel Farage . Nigel Farage's contributions: 8:55, 12:53 (and disagrees with Grant Shapps at 15:37), 28:32, 38:01, 49:19.

Nigel Farage : The UK could Leave the EU after a Referendum

The UK could leave the EU - this is the prediction of Prime Minister David Cameron, revealed in a preview of his delayed speech on Britain's status within the bloc. Meanwhile, he's been wavering about the idea of an 'in-out' referendum, saying it could be held after the next general election in 2015.

Nigel Farage - A comprehensive interview with French media Jan 2013

UK Independence party leader Nigel Farage answers various political questions. Nigel Farage is Europe's version of Ron Paul standing up to the system & telling it the way it is. European Union in current incarnation is what the banksters want in order to better exploit the people of Europe. Van Rompuy, Barroso, and the other Eurocrats are the tools of the banksters. They are international in scope and as Draghi is saying they “will do whatever it takes” to create this perpetual yoke. Merkel, Barroso, Van Rompuy are all fanatics. Does this situation remind you of Hitler vis-à-vis of his European intent? Hitler used guns, these people use money and politics.
