Snowden & Hastings and the war on Journalism
The recent death of American journalist Michael Hastings has raised a great deal of concern as to whether or not he was targeted by the government in an effort to silence him. All this comes in the midst of a manhunt for Edward Snowden the whistle blower who exposed the NSA's Prism system of collecting everyone's telecommunications and archiving the info into a massive government database.

Snowden Flees Hong Kong for Ecuador After US Charges Filed
National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden has fled Hong Kong with the ultimate intentions of reaching Ecuador, a Russian airline source told Reuters on Sunday. WikiLeaks confirmed that Snowden was "bound for a democratic nation via a safe route for the purposes of asylum, and is being escorted by diplomats and legal advisors from WikiLeaks." Hong Kong authorities reportedly let Snowden leave the country after saying that an extradition request from the U.S. was not in full compliance with the country's laws.
