Saudi Support Critical to U.S.'s Iran Fight
Feb. 17 (Bloomberg) -- Kenneth Pollack, director of the Saban Center for Middle East Policy at the Brookings Institution, talks with Bloomberg's Margaret Brennan about U.S. efforts to thwart Iran's nuclear program. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said in Qatar on Feb. 15 that Iran is turning into "a military dictatorship" as she pushed to rally regional support for sanctions aimed at reining in the Persian Gulf nation's nuclear projects. The comments led Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khameni to accuse Clinton of spreading "lies." (Source: Bloomberg)

Ciudad Juarez Mexico new murder capital
Three years after President Felipe Calderon launched an all-out nationwide war against drug cartels in Mexico, narcotics-related violence is still on the rise in the city of Ciudad Juarez.
Although around 10,000 troops have been deployed in the city, on average 10 people are killed each day there. According to the El Universal newspaper, last year more than one-third of Mexico's murders were in Juarez.
Al Jazeera's Mariana Sanchez reports that residents of the city now known as Mexico's new "murder capital" are putting pressure on politicians to act against a business that earns yearly revenues of $20bn.
That's a sum of money more than enough to buy the loyalties of police and judges.
Critics say that one of the biggest problems in Juarez is that attackers act with immunity. In the last two years more than 4,000 people have been killed and only 300 cases resolved.
Knowing that, many attackers just shoot and kill without any fear of getting caught.

The Dangers of Fully-Body Scanners in Airports
The alleged attempt by a Nigerian man to blow up a US airliner on Christmas Day has prompted some airports around the world to introduce full-body scanners. Experts say such a scanner could have prevented the passenger from smuggling the explosive device onto the plane. The scanner uses radio waves to see through a person's clothing, allowing airport staff to spot any hidden weapons or packages. The German government wants them to be allowed at the country's airports. But the decision is controversial, and has privacy campaigners on the warpath.

But for young adults in America, the situation is even worse. 54 percent of Americans under the age of 25 are unemployed according to the labor department. It's taking many college graduates over a year to land a steady job, and many are in hundreds of thousands of dollars of debt.

Is The CIA Losing the Intelligence war ?
Is the CIA effective?
The reputation of U.S. military intelligence is in tatters after al-Qaeda inflicted a devastating blow on the CIA in Afghanistan.
This week seven Americans working for the CIA were killed in a suicide bomb attack in Afghanistan. The deceased bomber is now alleged to have been a double agent, working for al-Qaeda as well as the CIA. Jordananian intelligence have disputed this, however.
So is Washington loosing the intelligence war there? And why? And how would that impact its ongoing military operations?
