The situation in Egypt is extremely complicated and changing constantly. The arguments between the military and the Muslim Brotherhood go back over half a century and they are much more complicated than the press tends to give them credit for. It's history in the making. What happens in Egypt now will certainly determine the future of both the Middle East and the world in general. While the French and Russian revolutions seem so far away now, it's important to remember how they shaped us, and one day, we will similarly remember the Egyptian Revolution. Hopefully, however, Egypt's future is brighter than both that of eighteenth-century France and twentieth-century Russia.
